You know, it always seems that the best restaurants are the ones that no longer exist. I guess it has something to do with not being able to have something when you want it that makes you want it even more. But that’s up to psychologists to find out.
What I do know is that there used to be this great little local restaurant that had unique and delicious food – and I miss it terribly. Along with a killer strawberry cake, the owner made this Caesar salad which had butterfly pasta in it. She called it her Caesar pasta salad and it was one of my favorite things she made. It was romaine lettuce, butterfly pasta, parmesan cheese, croutons, a delicious tangy Caesar dressing, and she topped hers with chicken. The bold flavors and varied textures were just amazing.
