ALEXANDRIA, Louisiana (KALB) – We’re working to bring you a list of all the local Christmas and holiday themed events happening around Cenla!

November 19

  • Holidays in Hineston
    • Sissy’s Restaurant 1855 Highway 121 Hineston, La – 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

November 26

  • POB Clubhouse 23rd Annual Toy Race
    • 7206 Masonic Drive, this year local band Dirty Blonde will play from 1-5pm. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the ride departs at 11:00 a.m. $20 entry fee or unwrapped gift of equal value. Food provided after the ride included in the fee. Tickets available for purchase for drinks and 50/50.

December 2

  • City of Ball “Lighting of the Park”
    • 100, municipal road from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

December 3

  • Ol’ Mel Christmas Party
    • $5 at the door (years and under free) $5 for horseback rides
    • Admission includes: Santa Photo Op, “Hay” Rides, Animal Feeding, Animal Encounter, Lights Walk, Roasted Marshmallows, “Snow Zone”, live music with Eric Leger, Bryce McGlothin and Taylor McCann Music, local food vendors, store vendors, jumpers and slides, free parking and shuttle ride to 783 Bethel Road Park or $10 neighbors/walk to the closed

December 10

  • Ball Town Christmas Parade
  • Philadelphia Baptist Church Presents: “Did You Know?”
    • Join us for a community-wide holiday tradition at our Deville campus (722 Philadelphia Road in Deville)
    • December 10 at 6:30 p.m.
    • December 11 at 10 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.
    • December 12 at 6:30 p.m.

December 18

  • Christmas in the countryside
    • First Baptist Church in Lecompte 5-7 p.m. Join us for food, crafts, hot chocolate, games, live music, sweaters and a live nativity scene.
