DraftKings is live! with its first gaming and catering establishment

Live! Hospitality & Entertainment, the company that brought 100,000 square foot casinos to malls, is now bringing an online sports gaming brand to a 10,000 square foot mall. bar and restaurant.

This fall, Live! and DraftKings will debut Sports & Social DraftKings, at Somerset Collection, a 1,450,000 square foot. mall in Troy, Michigan, anchored by Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus whose luxury level sports Louis Vuitton, Dior, Tiffany and Jimmy Choo.

What appears to be a standard sports bar will be powered by DraftKings mobile platforms which customers can use to place bets on football, basketball, golf or soccer games they are watching on the media wall 32ft LED from Sports & Social Draft King.

Live!– a unit of The Cordish Companies which is also behind Bally Sports Live! in St. Louis’ Ballpark Village and Live! at The Battery across from the Braves’ home park in Atlanta – promises top-notch food and drink at DraftKing’s first restaurant. Matchday specials made from scratch will be concocted in the kitchen, says Live!, to be washed down with a wide selection of beers and specialty cocktails.

It’s Live!, in association with the Professional Bull Riders Association, that has introduced 10 PBR Cowboy Bars over the past year.

“We are creating an unparalleled new standard in sports dining and entertainment with Sports & Social DraftKings,” said Reed Cordish, CEO of Cordish, who is also CEO of Live! Hospitality & Entertainment.

Live music — something you don’t often see at a sports bar — will be part of that standard, as will al fresco dining on a dog-friendly outdoor patio.

Live! and DraftKings have reported that the Somerset Sports & Social DraftKings Collection is the first of many to come. No new locations have been announced, although they most likely appear for the first time in all 18 states where the game company is licensed to do business. These include Arizona, Connecticut, Colorado, Illinois, and Indiana.
