JARS expands to Northern California with multi-unit franchise agreement

JARS, celebrity chef Fabio Viviani’s latest franchise is bringing his highly Instagrammable single-serve dessert concept to Northern California with the signing of a multi-unit franchise agreement for Oakland. The agreement follows multi-unit agreements for Southern California and Texas.

“Clearly Fabio has another winner in the JARS,” said Dan Rowe, CEO of Fransmart, franchise development partner of JARS. “The brand has already expanded into several major markets, adding ten more units ahead of the opening of its flagship Chicago location in January.”

JARS reimagines world-favorite desserts like tiramisu, strawberry shortcake and apple pie as single-serving sweet treats served in a jar. The hoodless, ventless concept that requires no on-site cooking resonates with franchisees looking for low start-up costs, low labor and simple operations.

The ability to have a restaurant with streamlined operations is what initially attracted Oakland franchisees Thomas Roberts and David McNatt to JARS. Both men have a background in finance and have built highly engaged teams and loyal customers.
