Hoots, a 40-year franchise industry veteran, was named chief operating officer in 2020 to help build the QC Kinetix franchise from the ground up. Established as a private regenerative medicine clinic in 2017 and led by founders Justin Crowell, Tyler Vail and Dr. Richard Schaffer, the concierge-style medical clinic chain uses orthobiologics to help the body repair or heal tissues and damaged joints without the need for surgery or addictive painkillers.
During Hoots’ tenure as COO, the company signed 60 franchise owners, opened 96 clinics, sold 126 markets and entered into development agreements with 488 franchise units to be built over the next 10 years. As CEO, Hoots’ next major growth goal is global expansion.

Meet the new leaders of QC Kinetix
Scott Hoots, General Manager. In 26 years, Hoots rose through the ranks from Domino’s pizza delivery driver to regional vice president of the chain, overseeing 1,500 franchise stores. Hoots also served as Vice President of Franchising for American Family Care and most recently served as President of Pet Wants, a Cincinnati-based pet food franchise system, before joining QC Kinetix. Hoots will lead the brand’s domestic and global franchise expansion and focus on developing a team of leaders who share his passion for helping people and guiding franchise owners to success.
Alex Zai, Chief Operating Officer. Zai is a 34-year veteran in the franchise industry and was a successful franchisee with Pak Mail Centers of America before moving to the corporate side of the business, where he started as an operations manager and ended his stint. 26 years at Pak Mail.
